Artist's Statement: I find inspiration in nature, everyday life, textures and colors.I create because I enjoy it. I like working with my hands, learning new skills and watching raw materials turn into something cool. Keeping my hands busy quiets my mind. It's like a meditation. Working with glass can be challenging there is always something new to learn. I do stained glass and fused glass, and have taken a glass blowing class. Sometimes I like to work on a small project and sometimes I like to work on a bigger project. I have always loved to make things. I don't question why; I just enjoy the process and have fun!
Artist's Bio: I am originally from Waterloo Iowa. We moved to the Loess Hills about 23 years ago. I had a stained glass window in my closet growing up. I loved it! Many years ago I got $50.00 from my in-laws for Christmas. I used that money to take a stained glass class and here I am today. I've learn fused glass since then and totally enjoy it!
